Time is flying

Holy smokes! I can't believe that June begins tomorrow! And with it, on the 23rd of June, Caleb's 4th birthday. So crazy to think how quickly this year is passing by.
Ella has learned a couple of new words this week: "pease" and "cank-ku"--two of my favorite. And then also "Abbie!" The name of a little girl that lives across the street, who Caleb goes and plays sometimes.
It's so much fun to watch them grow and learn. I love it!!

I'm giving it all I got

I got this from my Grandma and just wanted to share it. I really love it! What an amazing woman...

I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, with > long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from > taking kids to scout camp.> I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister > Schenk's lawn.> I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from > making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children.> I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from > helping to weed someone's garden.> I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the > tears of a friend on my shoulder.> I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.>

Okay, so this may seem silly to some of you that I see on a more regular basis. But, for those of you in England, and those of you who I went to high school or college with, I want to let you know what's going on in life---and I would love to hear what you're up to as well. So, please write back, email, or post a comment! :)

Here it goes: Rex and I have been married now for 5.5 years. I can hardly believe it. But, here we are. It's kinda strange to think that we had known each other for 5 1/2 years before we got married. And now we've been married for that duration as well. And I'm so thankful for him and for his love and support. He is such an amazing blessing in my life, and I really can't put it into words much better than that.

We have two cute kids: Caleb and Ella. Caleb will be 4 on June 23rd and Ella turned 1 on December 6th. Caleb is a firey red head with pale blue eyes and is in love with knights and books. Ella is a blondie with the same blue eyes and is in love with food :) and sleeping, still. We are living in the house Rex grew up in--we are actually renting from his parents who moved up to Eden by Pineview Resevoir. (very grateful to them for their generosity.) :)

I finished my B.A. in Elementary Education in 2006 and now get to be with my babies at home, and teach piano and tutor two 5th grade students in Math. Love it! When will I teach in a classroom?--I don't know, but we'll see as time moves on. I have also become a Sales Director in Mary Kay and really enjoy that too. (I know, some of you might think I'm crazy--but it really is an amazing company and I love it!) I love the women I've been able to meet and those on my team and in my unit who are some of my best friends.

Rex is working for T.D. Williamson in Murray as a Data Analyst and loves the company, but not so much the job--so we'll see what happens there. :)

And that really is my life in a nutshell.

Bloggin', eh?

So, I've decided to join the trendy, tech savvy side of life and start up a blog. There are a few friends of mine that have started blogs recently, and I love how wonderful they are--how they keep me up-to-date on what's going on in their lives. And I figured to try and stay in touch and let everyone know what's new, what's happenin', etc, I would follow their lead.

So, thanks to Becky Squire, Lisa and Bradley, Jessica Spencer, Leisel Shupe, and Ashley Allen for your inspiration. I love you all! :)
