I'll give you cash! Please help me finish a project that I need $2,500 for!

Hi everyone! Could you use $250 cash before Christmas? If yes, then please read how!

As most of you know, I'm a sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics. And I have a huge project going on right now that I have to come up with $2,500 for before Christmas. I just really need help! So I'm running a huge sale! And I will pay anyone $250 cash if they will just sell $500 for me. Likewise, I'll pay them $100 if they sell $200 for me. And with this sale, I think it should be easy to do. There was a friend who took a packet last week, and she sold $800 on this sale, and I gave her $400 cash. I will provide catalogs, sales slips, and samples--anything you need. If you're interested, please call me or email me back! If you want to purchase something on this sale, but don't want a packet, please call or email me, too!

Thank you so much for reading this and thanks for your help!

Here's how the sale works! Look on marykay.com to shop or call me to look at a catalog or to try some samples.

Buy $20 retail and pick any one item for FREE*!!

It gets even better! That free item’s value can be greater than $20! There’s no limit either. So, if you spend $40 retail, you can pick two items for free, etc. My goal is to reach 25 orders of $20 or more! Please let your family and friends know about this amazing sale! Call me if you need more details! Have fun shopping!

SALE ENDS DECEMBER 19th!

*Please help me by paying just the retail sales tax (6.6%) of your free item(s) and also the retail sales tax on your purchase of $20 or more. Thank you! There are no shipping fees! I'll ship it to anywhere in the U.S. for you! If a product is made up of more than one item, it counts as a ‘set,’ therefore, if the set has 2-3 items, you must purchase $40 retail to get that set for free. If the set has 4-6 items, you must purchase $60 retail to get that set for free, etc.

more dino park pics

Auntie Heather and Ladybug Gwyn (Stephanie, my sister's, little girl)

Caleb, "The Wild Man" and Ella The Love Bug at the pumpkin patch.

Dinosaur Park Halloween Party!

My sister took my kids last year one-on-one so that she could spend some "auntie" time with them. Then this year we made it a huge family thing. My grandma came, Heather, my niece and nephew, my cousin Pat and Danielle and their baby, Ally. It was a lot of fun! And I highly recommend it!

The Dino Park was super festive, with pumpkins (and skulls and goblin heads too) in the mouths of the dinosaurs. The pumpkin patch display was awesome and there were orange, green, and purple lights everyone. Afterwards we went over to the Dino Outdoor Cafe and had scones and hot chocolate. Caleb made a S'more at the camp fire next to the cafe'. The kids had a great time. Caleb is going as Peter Pan for Halloween and Ella is his sidekick, Tinkerbell. But, Saturday night I just let Caleb wear his "I'm a Wild Man!" Halloween shirt and made Ella a 'Love Bug' with antennas and a pink heart sweatshirt to keep her warm. :)

A few random pictures

I was helping my sisters-in-law put together a Christmas present for our mother-in-law, Jan, and was pulling out random pictures from over the past year that I never uploaded onto my blog. So I figured-while I'm at this, I should post these. So, no I did not grow 10 inches of hair back overnight and dye it dark brown. These pics are from the San Diego Temple back in March when Rex and I went on a cruise with my parents, my sisters, their husbands, and my brother.

It was so much fun! The day before we boarded the cruise ship, we went to the San Diego Temple. It was my first time visiting that one. I loved it! It's so beautiful inside and out.
Married for a little over five years in this picture, and Rex is down on one knee, letting me know he'd do it all over again, too. :)

Rex and I outside the Temple.

Rex is not a fan of the camera, so normally he's pulling a silly face, an over-exerted smile, or blocking his face entirely anytime the camera is pointed in his direction. (The only two days he's ever not done this were for our engagement photos and on our wedding day because he knew I'd kill him if he didn't smile nicely! :))
So, here he is at dinner on the cruise ship, classically avoiding the camera. I love him so much--and have fought this over time--but have learned that you can't change 'em all the time and that's ok. :)

Ella Bella Cinderella as Caleb calls her with her sticky chocolate face. I love her little tongue sticking out licking up the rest of the chocolatey goodness! :)

Caleb showing my grandma that he knows how to pull a crazy face. :P

Can't believe it's October!!

Hey there! The weather has been sooo beautiful the last few days, and this is the last day they ran through the sprinklers--I'm thinking it's probably going to be too cold from now on unless it's during the day.
Caleb is really starting to lose all of the baby fat and starting to lengthen out. He is so excited about learning and books and his favorite thing right now is PBSkids.org with tons of fun free educational games. He loves it and is really picking up on letters and sounds now.

Ella is wacky! Love her so much! She loves to just sing, sing, sing. She'll just be walking around the house singing her song, and doing her own actions. She'll sometimes sing, Twinkle Twinkle, just kinda humming it out at first, then going , "up pa baw ba wa wa hi!" So funny! Sometimes we'll sing together and she'll start putting her fists together, (like the sign for "more") and then says "sing 'pan'" "pan, mama". And I don't know what song it is that she's talking about. Any guesses?
Right now that's pretty much life's happenings. I'm going to be 26 next Friday-- Holy Guacamole!!!
Have a fabulous day!

So, I've been meaning to post these pics for awhile. Recently, I got the urge to chop off all my hair--a whole 10 inches of it! And kinda on a whim--so I didn't actually take pics at the salon. I had wanted to donate it for a long time and finally figured, 'Hey, no time like the present'. So in this before picture, you can kinda see how far down my hair went. This is me with Audrey Gates in Times Square in New York City last autumn. (She is the most amazing gal and was part of the 2nd family I lived with when I was in England.)

Then there's the after picture--just last month when I was at a Mary Kay Seminar in Dallas. I think I might want to cut it shorter--I'm sorta feeling like one of the skater boys my brother hangs out with. :) What do you think? Grow it out again, keep it this length, cut it shorter?

Hope you're all having a great summer!

So I see that Ella's pic didn't come through! Sorry about that! Here it is! :)

Hi all! Just a quick pic from a friend of mine that was watching my kids one day for me! Ella had a run in with the coffee table-so that's what the shiner is all about. :)

Capt'n Scurvy McGee (aka Caleb at his pirate b-day party) who, because of the heat had already removed most of his pirate gear. :) More to come, this photo was from a friend who emailed it to me...now I just need to find my USB cable for my camera, then I can show you more! :)

Hey there everyone! I thought I'd let everyone know about a huge sale I'm doing. Hope all is well for everyone. Today is Caleb's birthday--I can't believe I'm a mama of a 4-year-old. Crazy! I promise to post pics of his b-day soon. Have a splendid day!

Casanova Caleb

Oh, Caleb, my little flirter! :) That little girl named Abbie (the one who even Ella stands at the window and looks across the street at and says, "Abbie!")--well, she was over at our house the other day, and we had my nephew playing too. So with our little group, we were playing, "Duck, duck, goose." Caleb was it, and was going around the circle touching everyone's head, going "Duck......duck......duck....." then he got to Abby and said, "Pretty Duck", then smiled and giggled and moved to the next person.

I think this one might be trouble in the dating realm someday...

Time is flying

Holy smokes! I can't believe that June begins tomorrow! And with it, on the 23rd of June, Caleb's 4th birthday. So crazy to think how quickly this year is passing by.
Ella has learned a couple of new words this week: "pease" and "cank-ku"--two of my favorite. And then also "Abbie!" The name of a little girl that lives across the street, who Caleb goes and plays sometimes.
It's so much fun to watch them grow and learn. I love it!!

I'm giving it all I got

I got this from my Grandma and just wanted to share it. I really love it! What an amazing woman...

I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, with > long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from > taking kids to scout camp.> I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister > Schenk's lawn.> I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from > making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children.> I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from > helping to weed someone's garden.> I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the > tears of a friend on my shoulder.> I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.>

Okay, so this may seem silly to some of you that I see on a more regular basis. But, for those of you in England, and those of you who I went to high school or college with, I want to let you know what's going on in life---and I would love to hear what you're up to as well. So, please write back, email, or post a comment! :)

Here it goes: Rex and I have been married now for 5.5 years. I can hardly believe it. But, here we are. It's kinda strange to think that we had known each other for 5 1/2 years before we got married. And now we've been married for that duration as well. And I'm so thankful for him and for his love and support. He is such an amazing blessing in my life, and I really can't put it into words much better than that.

We have two cute kids: Caleb and Ella. Caleb will be 4 on June 23rd and Ella turned 1 on December 6th. Caleb is a firey red head with pale blue eyes and is in love with knights and books. Ella is a blondie with the same blue eyes and is in love with food :) and sleeping, still. We are living in the house Rex grew up in--we are actually renting from his parents who moved up to Eden by Pineview Resevoir. (very grateful to them for their generosity.) :)

I finished my B.A. in Elementary Education in 2006 and now get to be with my babies at home, and teach piano and tutor two 5th grade students in Math. Love it! When will I teach in a classroom?--I don't know, but we'll see as time moves on. I have also become a Sales Director in Mary Kay and really enjoy that too. (I know, some of you might think I'm crazy--but it really is an amazing company and I love it!) I love the women I've been able to meet and those on my team and in my unit who are some of my best friends.

Rex is working for T.D. Williamson in Murray as a Data Analyst and loves the company, but not so much the job--so we'll see what happens there. :)

And that really is my life in a nutshell.

Bloggin', eh?

So, I've decided to join the trendy, tech savvy side of life and start up a blog. There are a few friends of mine that have started blogs recently, and I love how wonderful they are--how they keep me up-to-date on what's going on in their lives. And I figured to try and stay in touch and let everyone know what's new, what's happenin', etc, I would follow their lead.

So, thanks to Becky Squire, Lisa and Bradley, Jessica Spencer, Leisel Shupe, and Ashley Allen for your inspiration. I love you all! :)
